Case Study 01:
Full Redesign with Agency Creative
Client Type:
Senior Living Marketing Agency
Scope:
Custom redesign with agency-provided art direction
An agency partner approached Web4SL to bring a fresh, high-end redesign to life for one of their senior living clients. The agency handled creative direction, copywriting, and visual design — Web4SL was tasked with translating that design into a fast, accessible, and maintainable website built on our standardized WordPress platform.
The approved design featured overlapping elements and layered layouts — a modern visual trend that the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) doesn’t fully support out of the box. Traditional methods to achieve these effects often involve custom CSS or bloated page builders, both of which compromise maintainability and performance. Rather than rely on workarounds, we took the challenge as an opportunity to expand our platform’s capabilities, enhancing WordPress itself to meet agency-grade creative demands.
We engineered a new system within our FlexLine Theme called Content Shift, allowing controlled overlapping and offset positioning directly within the block editor. The enhancement introduced negative margin and translation options for any group, image, or layout element — all accessible through the native WordPress interface. This addition became a permanent feature of the FlexLine Theme, benefiting not just this project but all future Web4SL builds. With Content Shift in place, we executed the agency’s design precisely as envisioned — maintaining pixel-perfect fidelity while ensuring accessibility, speed, and long-term stability.

- New platform feature developed: FlexLine Content Shift
- 1:1 design fidelity with agency-provided comps
- Fully custom build delivered in 3 weeks
- 60% faster load times than the client’s previous site
- WCAG 2.1 AA compliance achieved
Key Takeaway
This project showcased Web4SL’s dual strength: high-quality white-label delivery and continuous platform innovation. By solving a real-world creative limitation in WordPress, we not only met our partner’s expectations — we advanced the capabilities of our entire system.
Case Study 02:
Platform Migration: Lift & Shift
Client Type:
Senior Living Marketing Agency
Scope:
Full rebuild and migration to the Web4SL platform
An agency partner approached Web4SL to rebuild a recently launched site for a senior living community. The site had been developed by another contractor on WordPress — but nearly all of its content was hard-coded, leaving the client unable to make even basic updates without a developer. Menus, home page content, and events were all static, breaking the promise of a flexible CMS. The agency needed a reliable partner to rebuild the site properly, preserving the design but restoring full edibility and integration across the board.
The project required a pixel-perfect rebuild of a custom design that included a fading hero image slider — a feature not natively supported in WordPress Full Site Editing. The challenge wasn’t only technical parity, but also making the site’s content fully manageable by the community’s marketing team without any code access.
Web4SL rebuilt the entire site on our WordPress-based framework using the FlexLine Theme and Web4SL Plugin.
Every layout element, navigation item, and content section was rebuilt as editable blocks, giving the client full control through the native WordPress interface.

To support the fading image hero area, we developed a new block-based slider/fader system for FlexLine — a performance-optimized feature that seamlessly integrates with WordPress’s block architecture.
The migration not only preserved the original design but also delivered true CMS functionality, unlocking blog posts, events, and lead capture without any reliance on custom code.
- Full rebuild delivered in under 3 weeks
- Pixel-perfect visual match to the original design
- Native WordPress editing for all site content (no code required)
- New platform feature added: block-based slider/fader
- Improved accessibility and site speed verified
Key Takeaway
This project demonstrates Web4SL’s commitment to craftsmanship and continuous improvement. By rebuilding a broken implementation the right way — and extending WordPress functionality in the process — we transformed a static, developer-dependent site into a fully editable, high-performance platform built to scale.
Let’s build what’s next.
